I will always remember this quote because a much cheesier framed version of it hung above our picnic style dining table throughout my youth.
We learned a lot of things at the table, but that mantra of positivity stuck with me my entire life. It’s probably why I’m an optimist to this day. And come to think of it, my dad always sat at the head of the table with his back to the quote- which now partly explains his ‘cup is half empty’ outlook. Hmmm….
Anyway, I’m lover of great quotes and I try to surround myself and my family with great words of wisdom. Consider creating a wall of quotes in your home, or sharing important quotes each day with your child. There are tons of great resources, including artsy quotes from Etsy, framed and magnetic quotes, quote apps and homemade quotes you can change daily on a chalkboard.
Surround yourself with great wisdom that will last a lifetime. And don’t forget to capture your child’s words.
