American Ballet Theater
Theatre Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School is a pre-professional ballet training program for students, ages 12-18. Under the direction of Franco De Vita, Artistic Director, students thrive in an elite atmosphere dedicated to the success of each student. Admission is by audition only.

American Tap Dance Foundation

The American Tap Dance Foundation (ATDF) is a non-profit organization committed to establishing and legitimizing Tap Dance as a vital component of American Dance through creation, presentation, education and preservation. ATDF’s Center is a year-round school of tap dance with a comprehensive curriculum for kids, teens and adults. (Beginning to Advanced Pro Level) Each year the ATDF serves close to 600 students which includes ongoing Training Programs for Youth,  Teens and Adults, the Tap City Youth Ensemble; seasonal Master Tap Intensives, Choreography Workshops for Professionals, an Artists in Residence Program, a Teacher Training Certificate Program and numerous public studio performances, lectures, jams and film presentations. The center’s programming offers students a chance to become immersed in tap culture.

The ultimate goal of the American Tap Dance Foundation is the development of a comprehensive Tap Conservatory that includes; an array of tap dance styles that are taught by masters of their own style who can articulate their methods clearly and are eager to help the student develop virtuosity, a thorough knowledge of the form; it’s history, diversity, vernacular, various techniques and choreographic structures.

Ballet Academy East 
Since 1979, Ballet Academy East has been a vibrant center for dance on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. In 1978, Julia Dubno, the founder and director of Ballet Academy East was selected by Christine Fokine to run the Fokine Ballet School. That experience led to the opening of Ballet Academy East in a brownstone on East 79th Street with one small studio in 1979. Today the school has five spacious studios, a world-renowned faculty and continues to flourish. Miss Dubno continues to manage the day-to-day operations and is in close contact with the faculty and staff in order to be kept abreast of all areas of the school.

Broadway Artists Alliance
BAA Junior is a program designed specifically for young performers ages 6-10 who show great promise in musical theatre but are not yet old enough to attend our other workshops and intensives. Students will study voice, acting, and dance in a small group setting where they will develop their fundamental performance skills and explore their creativity. Classes will include theatre games, improvisation, vocal technique, song/scene interpretation, and learning original Broadway choreography from shows like Annie, Billy Elliot and Mary Poppins! The instructors for this program specialize in working with young children and every class will be an energetic, positive environment where the students can make friends and have fun! BAA Junior is also a fantastic opportunity for students to get introduced to Broadway Artists Alliance and prepare themselves for our other workshops and intensives. All students will attend a Broadway show, receive a private coaching from a member of our Senior Staff, and participate in a final Industry Showcase for Casting Directors, Agents and Managers who specialize in working with young performers!

Ellison Ballet
This year-round program is designed to meet the needs of dedicated students 12-19 years of age from across the U.S. and abroad, who seek the highest standard of classical ballet education to prepare for a professional career.

French Academie of Ballet
Designed with the young dancer in mind, this detailed orientated program emphasizes individual attention in a small class size setting.  Class sizes are limited in order to insure that every dancer is given the necessary personal instruction along with support and encouragement to enable them to progress quickly. The curriculum based on American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum and is taught by ABT Certified Teachers. Dancers who successfully finish the Young Dancer curriculum will be promoted to the French Academie of Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program.

Julliard Pre-College Division
The Juilliard Pre-College Division is a program for students of elementary through high school age who exhibit the talent, potential, and accomplishment to pursue a career in music. It runs on Saturdays from September through May.
The division offers a complete curriculum of music instruction that requires a considerable amount of time and commitment on the part of the students. Recognizing the importance of early development and discipline in the music field, the School provides an atmosphere where artistic gifts and technical skills can flourish.
The curriculum includes weekly lessons in the major field, chamber music, and classes in music theory and ear training. Additional electives are offered in areas such as composition, music history, conducting, and other specialized topics.  Students are given ample opportunities in solo, chamber, and orchestral concerts.

Manhattan Youth Ballet
Manhattan Youth Ballet (MYB) is a world-class academy dedicated to preparing aspiring young dancers for professional careers at the national, international and regional level. MYB achieves its mission by offering a comprehensive curriculum and ballet pedagogy based upon the European classical tradition honoring precision, artistry and discipline combined with the American ethos celebrating individuality and versatility.  Serving the needs of New York City’s diverse dance community, MYB’s accomplished faculty strive to create an environment where each student achieves their personal goals, while developing a lifelong love for dance.

Mannes College The New School for Music
Mannes Prep combines a warm and supportive atmosphere with thorough pre-professional training. Our personal, continuing interest in the musical growth of each student is central to the spirit of Mannes. Mannes Prep welcomes students ages 4-18 (pre-K through high school) at all levels, from absolute beginners through advanced students aspiring to professional careers. Each student’s curriculum is individually tailored to include age- and level-appropriate class and ensemble assignments. Under the direction of a faculty dedicated to creating a feeling of community, students learn to encourage one another to reach their full potential.

School of American Ballet 
SAB, located at New York City’s Lincoln Center, is today the premier ballet academy in the United States, training more students who go on to become professional dancers than any other school. SAB’s former students fill the ranks of the New York City Ballet and other leading U.S. and international ballet companies. Approximately 450 boys and girls, ranging in age from six to eighteen, attend classes during the School’s ten-month Winter Term. A five-week Summer Course attracts an additional 200 of the nation’s top ballet students. Admission is by audition only.

The Ailey School, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater 
he Ailey School offers several training options for dancers ages 7 to 25 who wish to pursue a career in dance. The Professional Division Program caters to students ages 17 to 25 and the Junior Division Program to ages 7 to 17. The Junior Division also offers creative movement class for children between the ages of 3 and 6. The Ailey School’s Junior Division offers a diverse range of dance training classes and performance opportunities for students  from beginner to pre-professional.

The School at Steps 
The School at Steps cultivates young dancers, ages 18 mos. – 18 yrs., from their first step in a dance studio through their pre-professional training. Students discover their individual artistic voices in a creative environment with the guidance of an internationally recognized faculty. The personal attention the school provides encourages students to mature as dancers, grow as individuals, and enrich their passion for the art form. School at Steps graduates go on to dance with professional companies, study at top college dance programs, and perform on Broadway.
