What is the best Gifted & Talented program in NYC? Well, we all know that depends on YOUR child…and of course who you ask…
So come find out, as we go NAVIGATING NYC’s G&T OPTIONS: Parent Perspectives
Join PALNYC and our panel of parents from Hunter, Citywide, Districtwide and select independent schools on Tuesday, April 22 for Navigating NYC’s G&T Options, offering an inside look at the programs that best accommodate NYC’s high potential youth.
How are Citywide schools different from a good general education or independent school program? What are the differences between Hunter, Citywide and Districtwide offerings? Given current class sizes, can a high-scoring gen ed public school help kids reach their highest potential? Do private schools better serve this population with their smaller class size and course offerings? What about programs that accommodate twice exceptional (2E) learners? Is a specialized school, a charter or homeschooling a better option for my child? Decide for yourself as you hear samples of a typical day in the life and pros and cons of each program.
